This EASA and UK CAA Part 147 approved course is designed for aircraft maintenance engineers to meet the standard of theoretical knowledge required to perform the duties of a B1/B2 certifying engineer and to apply for appropriate company approvals for the Bombardier CL-600-2C10/-2D15/-2D24/-2E25 (GE CF34) (CRJ 700/900/1000) Combined B1/B2 Theory. It covers both B1 and B2 elements and takes 28 days. The course content is to the level defined in PART 66 Regulations.
Models covered - CL-600-2C10 (RJ 700), CL-600-2C10 (RJ 701), CL-600-2C10 (RJ 702, CL-600-2D15 (RJ Series 705), CL-600-2D24 (RJ Series 900) & CL-600-2E25 (RJ Series 1000)
Commercial Designation covered - Regional Jet Series 700, Regional Jet Series 701, Regional Jet Series 702, Regional Jet Series 705, Regional Jet Series 900 & Regional Jet Series 1000
Format
The theory training is delivered by experienced maintenance engineers in a classroom environment in English using modern delivery techniques. An individual copy of the training material is provided in digital form. The standard training programme is based upon 6 hours of instruction per day with appropriate breaks. This can be extended to include visits to aircraft.
The initial entry standard for Type Training is normally holders of the appropriate Part-66 B1/2 Aircraft Maintenance Licences. It is therefore essential that candidates have a technical background in an aircraft maintenance environment and a working knowledge of the English language.
Evaluation
Theoretical Examinations
Examinations will be held at intervals through each theory course. These will be of the multi-choice type and a non-penalty marking system will be used. A minimum of 75% is required for each examination. A certificate of recognition will be issued at the end of each course to each student who has satisfactorily completed the course and has passed all the examinations/assessments.
Objectives
This course provides:
A detailed knowledge of the aircraft’s systems, major components and locations, their operations, functions as well as the appropriate maintenance and troubleshooting methods.
A working knowledge of the aircraft’s maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
An understanding of common maintenance practices and procedures prescribed in the AMM.
The knowledge to perform system monitoring and operational tests IAW the aircraft’s technical documentation.
Insight into the common snags experienced during maintenance events and how to prevent them.
